I used to start the day with 300 unread. Now I start it with six lines and a coffee.

The story

Ōmi Studio

Aiko Tanabe

Ōmi Studio runs three client projects at a time, each with its own channels, docs and review cycles. The morning stand-up had grown to forty minutes.

What replaced the stand-up

They connected chat, docs and calendar on a Thursday. By the next Tuesday the stand-up was gone, replaced by the 07:00 brief and a ten-minute check-in on Fridays.

The biggest change was for project leads, who no longer read every client channel to find the two messages that needed them.
